High Wycombe Car Hire

High Street in High Wycombe on Market Day by Vidya Crawley

High Wycombe is one of England’s thriving market towns. It’s a place with a bustling atmosphere, lots of shopping opportunities and a lively centre with a wide variety of places to eat and to be entertained. It has the Eden shopping and leisure complex, which includes a twelve screen cinema and a bowling alley, where you can let off steam and enjoy a lively evening. It also has the Wycombe Swan Theatre, which plays host to local, national, and international touring companies and soloists. If culture and rich English heritage interest you, Wycombe Museum will no doubt be a place you’ll want to visit. Set in lovely grounds, the museum offers an insight into the district’s diverse history, as well as a beautiful collection of Windsor chairs.

Visitors to the area always find that High Wycombe Car Hire is an excellent way to explore. The town has a lot to do, but it’s also surrounded by the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. Picturesque villages and historic towns make it the ideal place to stay whilst exploring these pretty surroundings. There opportunities for walking, with paths along the Ridgeway and River Thames, there are secluded valleys, nature reserves and woods, where writers such as Milton, Elliot, and Mary Shelley all took their inspiration. You can visit Hughenden Manor, now owned by the National Trust, but formally the home of one of Great Britain’s Prime Minister’s Benjamin Disraeli, there’s also an opportunity to go deep underground at Hellfire Caves in West Wycombe, less than fifteen minutes away.

Whatever your interests, High Wycombe and its surrounding countryside are easily accessible when you hire your own car.
