Burton-on-Trent or, Burton upon Trent, is a town straddling the River Trent in the east of Staffordshire, England. The town lies within the National Forest and has an estimated population of around 43,800.
Burton is known well for it's brewing heritage, home to over a dozen breweries in its day, but still brewed in the town.
Burton is loacated approximately 109 miles North West of the capital city London, approximately 24 miles North East of Birmingham, the largest city in the West Midlands. It is situated on the Eastern-most border of the county of Staffordshire with Derbyshire, its suburbs and the course of the River Trent forming part of the county boundary.
